Is it possible to download a digital version of x-plane 10 and use dvd registration key?

Hi there

I purchased a copy of x-plane 10 on dvd however I am getting an error with one of the discs when installing. Is it possible to download a digital version and use the same registration key to get past this error?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I am happy to provide  photo evidence of proof of purchase.

Hi Kosa,

I am not with Laminar Research; just a flight simmer.

The dvd version of x-plane is setup so that you have to have disc 1 in a dvd drive to run at all times. The alternative is to purchase a specific USB dongle that substitutes for disc 1.  There is no password "key" used.

If you have a problem with a particular disc you should contact the reseller or developer of the dvd version of x-plane.  If your DVD version is a genuine  x-plane version ie not steam or from aerosoft  or any other brand then make initial contact with Laminar Research  at [email protected]

My recollection from previous questions and answers in this forum on the same subject the short answer to your question is no.
