How don I zoom out?

I downloaded the X-Plane 11 demo on to mt desktop. It runs great but whenever I go to cockpit view it's zoomed in very far. I can only see either the windscreen and no instruments, or only the instruments and no outside view. I tried do zoom out with my mouse wheel, but I can only zoom in further. How can I fix this?

The mouse scroll button should work for zooming.  Try a different USB port, preferably a USB 2.0 connection.

Press the (-) key on your keyboard. It should zoom out.
