Hello,

I use X-Plane 11 on Windows 10. When I try to launch X-Plane, it says "Loading Plugin: AutoGate.xpl", but crashes just after. My PC doesn't give me a message asking to wait for a response or close the program, X-Plane just closes out. This hasn't happened to me before.

I haven't used this before, but I think this link should be the log.txt file. If it isn't, please let me know.

Thanks so much for the help!

Hi Kash4,

I am not with Laminar Research; just a flight simmer.

I have noticed what appears to be a few issues for me having looked at your Log.txt file.  I normally have problems with the interpretations but this one gives me 3 clear messages.

1.  Download and upgrade the drivers for your graphics card.  The card appears to me to be aged.  Does it meet the specifications as detailed here at https://www.x-plane.com/kb/x-plane-11-system-requirements/  Consider the "recommended specifications" particularly the VRAM.  My original GPU was a GTX 780 unit with 3Gb of VRAM and I have now upgraded to a GTX 1080 on my Main XP PC.  You may consider an upgrade but try the driver upgrade first.

2.  Have you created a sub-directory called "games" on your desktop whereby you have then installed X-Plane into that sub-directory?  If you have, I would strongly suggest you delete X-Plane from that directory and place it directly on the desktop as Laminar Research suggests or create a newly dedicated sub-directory on your your "C" drive as "C:\x-plane\"  A better and safer option is to have an additional dedicated drive just for x-plane over and above what is on your PC.  In performing a fresh install on my desktop I did not get the "games" sub-directory as you have.

3.  You have been advised in your screen message that the "plug-in " is causing your problem.  In looking at your log.txt  file it clearly states the plug-in file X-Life is causing your crash.  I strongly suggest you completely remove this plugin and try and run X-Plane without it.  If X-Plane then runs you need to decide what you then do with it.

Good luck.

Glenn
