Hi.  I am currently in the process of downloading the digital version of 10 Global, however, I am looking to purchase a high end machine to be able to run it in all its glory, so how can I move X-Plane from one PC to another.  I have checked the FAQs and the only advice seems to be just move the folder, but surely there must be more to it than that?

Many thanks

Hi

From what I've heard, you must have 3 independent PC's with each a copy of XP to achieve a 3 monitor setup. If you want to move XP from one PC to another, simply do it installing on that PC (Windows, Mac, Linux)

As for your PC, considering that Nvidia released their 1080 and 1070 GPU a day ago, you might want to look into that. Both GPU's outperform the Titan ($1,000) and it is half the cost (1080 is $599 and 1070 is $379-$400.

Hi

Thanks for your answer.  I ended up going for the ROG GL752VW Asus Laptop, Intel i7, 64 GB RAM with NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 980M graphics card, so having shaken all the coins out of my Piggy Bank leaving nothing in there, I'm hoping it will be powerful enough to do the job.

You can simply move the entire install, as long as you have an external hard drive or storage device that will hold it all. The full install, even without any third party scenery or aircraft, is almost 70GB, so it could take a long time to copy the install between devices.

Or you can install from scratch on both. Your X-Plane 10 purchase is good on multiple computers.

Hi.

Thank you for your answer.  I was a bit surprised to find that apparently just moving the install folder was sufficient, but as you have confirmed, that seems to be it.  Thanks
