Hi Derek,
I am not from Laminar Research; just a flight simmer.
You don't need to or have to use any special "eye candy" The multiview arrangement, like your hardware controllers, have to be setup through X-Plane for best effect.
How you set it up is running 3 individual views of X-Plane off the same computer with one view on each screen with each screen connected to one of the ports on your graphics card. I mention 3 individual views and not 3 copies of x-plane. All legal. This is one of the new benefits of X-Plane 11.
Have a look at the User manual found at https://www.x-plane.com/manuals/desktop/#configuringamulti-monitorsimulator Read the full section ( the manual is badly formatted in so far that there are no chapters marked. Follow the heading font sizes).
In watching the youtube links provided below consider the message and not the actual products used as the items referenced may not be the same as yours.
Have a look at the following links from Russ Barlow found at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJ0GItVWHxQ and then https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WhosGYgREQs and again at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7LfXqpi-I8 and then when you decide what angle of view you want then also look at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PjdgOBJ5xkQ
My system will eventually be the same as that shown above by Russ but using 3 43 inch screens. Russ has since advised me he now uses Air Manager on the same graphics card as the 3 screens.
If you want to see all of the videos from Russ then have a look at https://www.youtube.com/user/srbarlow/videos
Now to get a slightly different perspective have a look at the following links created by Michael Brown, Michael operates a business that builds PCs predominantly for X-Plane. His business is supported by Laminar Research as the only supplier of PCs in the USA to run x-plane. The recommended links can be found at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGIyLiXjZo4 and then https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AiaTJOZ33nY and then https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Weh0hBunQ0w and then https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LnFDgzQseI This last reference discusses rendering options or configuration for multiple screens
Now what I am annoyed about is I cannot locate the video(s) produced by MIchael where he has provided more exact information on how to setup the multiple screens with a single computer.
The following link from Michael list all of his videos. The link can be found at https://www.youtube.com/user/col2mab/videos You may chose to have a look at some of his productions which may give you some additional info in setting up your flight simulator.
Good luck
Glenn
