x plane 11 initially worked just now it says that I have to unlock my game again and the code no longer works.

i bought x plane on kinguin and i just downloaded the game and it just worked it all but now i get a message that i have to unlock it again and then i type in the activation code and it doesn't work, it says code disabled, what should I do?

I have purchased Xplane11 by Laminar Research as a set of 8 DVD's from "aerosoft" I run it on Win10 with a Thrustmaster stick. The simulator ran for about 2 weeks but now each time I start it up it requires me to place DVD #1 into my computer to unlock the game. The computer is always connected to the internet.  What can I do to overcome this requirement I do have all registration keys/ etc.

Others have experienced the same problem when purchased from another business.  You most likely have purchased a pirate or "dudd" copy.  

If you have a digital copy it has to be connected to the internet at all times.  The software does a silent check to determine if you are running two versions at the same time or you you have an official or non duplicated copy whereby the product has not been issued to somebody else.  If a problem occurs with either test then the software will shut down and lock you out.

To the best of my knowledge there are only two official versions available.  Version 1 is the official and original digital download version from Laminar Research.  Version 2 is a boxed set of discs licenced through Aerosoft and sold through many outlets or discs purchased from Laminar Research.

There is another version called steam.  I don't support this version.  This brand is not sold or supported by Laminar Research.  It it is a 3rd party hybrid (modified) version taking a commercial advantage of the development work by Laminar Research.     

What to do?  Try and get your money back.  If and when you do then support the developers and purchase directly from Laminar Research.

If you have purchasd an official legal digital copy you need to ensure you are connected to the internet at all times as I indicated above mentioning the silent check on validity.
