Key commands have quit working in XP on all aircraft except for a few pay ware aircraft. I tried deleting XP pref files, expecting they would re-generate on XP re-boot; they did not. I ran the latest XP installer twice, but it failed to detect the absence of the files. How do I get them back?

Hi Don,

X-Plane should replace any missing preferences files with defaults the next time you start it. If it did not, maybe try moving the entire preference folder to the desktop and try again.

No Joy. I just downloaded a fresh Resources file expecting Preferences to be included; they were NOT! So, where do the pref files come from? I downloaded a fresh copy of the XP App. Still no pref files, and the key commands still don't work.

If you move or delete the preferences folder it should be replaced when you start X-plane the next time. If it is not, please upload a copy of your log.txt and explain in step by step detail what you are doing to see this, being as detailed as possible.

I just realized that I've been looking for the pref files in Resources rather than Output. Now, the keys work on all aircraft save the one I'm working on that started this whole mess. I'm stumped.
