I am trying to clean install a second copy of X-Plane 11 on the same Windows 10 PC, on a separate drive.  After installing XP11 onto the desktop, it worked.  Then it prompted me to update to the latest.  After installing the update, XP failed to come back up, it hung indefinitely before the opening screen could show up.

Of course, I’m not trying to run more than one instance of XP11, just want to have a second "sterile" version for diagnostic use.  This is a fresh install from LR website, no plug-in or add-on, with just the demo area scenery.  Meanwhile, the original installation still works.  The Log.txt shows I terminated the hung program (from Windows) after 14 minutes of inactivity.

Thanks in advance for any idea.

P.S. Just saw that 11.35 is out, wonder if updating 11.0 to the brand new 11.35 could be a problem.

Hi Disc

I had a look through your Log.txt file and found the following anomaly, not sure if it's relevant though?

I tried the installation and update again yesterday and it worked.

Not sure if it’s related to my displays—a mix of 1080p and 1440p. So I simply stayed on the 1080p display during the entire install/update process.

Thanks.
