Change smoke colour of the 'x' hotkey smoke

I'd like to change the smoke colour of the smoke produced by pressing the default 'x' hotkey. Changing the file in Resources/bitmaps/world/clouds/smoke_puff and restarting XP11 has no effect. Is there a different file to do this?
