Hi, just a comment because I think we are not alone with this trouble.

X-Plane gets its weather from the NOAA website. Recently they changed their URLs. X-Plane 9 is too old to handle that and real weather will be permanently broken. 

X-Plane 10.50 has been updated with the new URLs so please get the update that was released yesterday and see if that fixes the problem. If not, file a bug here.
