Resetting to factory default, the Button options for functions - EG: "P" for pause

Question

I recently installed X-plane and as I do not yet have a joystick wanted to allocate buttons for commands etc.  I made a few mistakes and deleted some of the buttons and their functions.  I would like to know how to default to factory settings

You'll have to treat me as a novice - where do I find this Output?  Sorry but you'll need to guide me further.

Go to Output > Preferences and delete the X-Plane Keys.prf file. Next time you start X-Plane, all the defaults will be restored.

It is a folder within the main X-Plane folder.
