Is X-Plane good to study VTOL in transition between fixed wing to hover mode?

I am looking for a flight simulator to study a VTOL plane flying in transition mode (for example the rotor motors are tilted 45 degrees: 50% fixed wing mode and 50% hovering mode). Is X-plane good enough for this study? and Why?

Yes because there I lots of aircrafts to 'study' the wing and two or three VTOLs that are great and fun to fly. Quick answer: yes
