Is there a way to put a custom panel in an existing plane?

I wanted to create a Cessna 172P panel as close to the one that I fly in real life as possible. I have used Plane-Maker to create the panel but don't want to create the entire plane. Can i put the panel in the existing 172SP in X-Plane?

Have a look at the YouTube videos from Michael Brown at Xforce PC where he talks about using a custom Cessna 172 panel in some of his productions, initially using Panel Builder and then he converts to Air Manager.

I have found Michael to be of "good value".  I have no connection with Michael, the developers of Panel Builder or Air Manager.
