Hi,

Ever since I purchased XP 10 in February,I've been constantly getting driver crashes "Display Driver stopped responding and has successfully recovered" etc. I got those types of errors including TDR's for 6-7 months and I tried almost every driver for my card (GTX 970). I was wondering if the XP team has known/addressed/possibly solved this issue in 11 because I don't want to have this problem occur in 11. I want to use XP but issues like this ruin the experience.

I can imagine these issues ruin your experience, but I am not sure if this is a known X-Plane problem, or whether it is caused by X-Plane. You said you used "almost every driver" for your card... please never downgrade the display drivers for your graphics card (especially multiple versions below). Make sure your card is up to date. Typically, display issues are more associated with the drivers themselves or with the operating system. It can also be your NVIDIA Control Panel settings for X-Plane. If the problem persists after updating your display drivers, report back please.

Hi,

I tried updating my driver but that didn't work. I believe it's a hardware issue. I got a new SSD a week ago so I can rule that out. I gonna try running memtest and see if my RAM has issues. I also have a GTX 760 so I'll try swapping cards and see if that works.

Since you have the card to swipe with, you really might as well try. This seems like a hardware issue or corruption, unless another member of the community can enlighten both of us. :-)

Swapped the card (no driver issues) but my computer randomly turns off. Never happened with my 970.  Guess I'll go back to my 970 but I will take out 2 sticks of my RAM to see if that works. (People claimed that RAM may be causing the issue with drivers

Good luck with that, Rishi!

Now my computer randomly reboots itself and I get random TDR's. Tried the common registry fix but that didn't help.

More Troubleshooting!
