The desktop version and mobile app are completely different pieces of software, so you will need both. There are no tablets or phones powerful enough yet to run the full version of the simulator. X-Plane 10 Mobile is a free download that includes the Cessna 172SP. Additional aircraft are then available as in-app purchases.
