Using ATC on Android

Question

Can't use ATC on Android in free flight mode.  It works on one of the tutorials but that's it.

Can't tune the radio com1 , can tune the nav frequencies from the map but not the com ones

Bought a cable to attach a usb keyboard to the tablet but pressing enter when in x plane doesn't work so can't file a flight plan.

I would like to buy extra aircraft but I want this to work first

Currently there is no usable ATC in X-Plane 10 Mobile. The "ATC" you hear from in tutorials or challenges is actually just text that has been specifically programmed in to that situation only.
