Hey All!
Love the work you're doing on X-Plane 11 and I know there is much more to come, but I have a question about the haziness. Why so hazy?
I understand that you have to have a way to cut off the far buffer limit where it stops drawing, but this haze makes everything look like there is a forest fire. I know the sim is more about the flight model than the scenery, and obviously it's not possible to make the sim perfect for everyone in every place, but this hazy smoke everywhere is a real bummer.
Maybe in L.A. you would see this kind of haze, but as a 35 year native of Colorado, this just doesn't happen here. On most days you can see the mountains crystal clear from a minimum of 80 miles away, and on a clear day, you can see them in detail from 200 miles away.
Aside from the lack of realism of this haze, the real problem is that it actually hurts my eyes to look at it. Like looking directly at the sun, or looking at snow when the bright sun reflects off of it. Because of it, I can't play XP11 for more than 5 minutes before I start to get a headache. In contrast, I can play XP10 for hours on end and never feel a bit of discomfort.
Anyway, just wanted to give my feedback, hopefully you find it useful. Is there anything I can do to get rid of the haze?
