Paid for an downloaded xplane 11 game will not go past the update page

I get no error message.

Just won't go beyond the update page whether I hit the update button or the ignore button.

Please provide more information. Please upload a copy of the X-Plane log.txt found in the main folder after you quit X-Plane. Please provide a screenshot of where you get stuck.
