Is it possible to install X-plane 11 (beta and final) onto a specific folder (or USB drive), then move this folder onto another path (for example, C:\Program Files) and launching it from the new path by a desktop link, created after moving it? Is it possible to install demo version and then unlock it after downloading everything (I have a really slow adsl!)? Will the planes, environments and languages in the beta be compatible with the ones in the 11 final version?

Thank you very much!

You can download X-Plane on any computer and move the files to your destination computer. To get a full version of X-Plane you have to enter your product key.

The X-Plane 11 beta can be updated to final release when it arrives. You can move it to another folder in Program Files, but use the Program Files directory that is inside your user name directory or the same user login or admin login as X-Plane was installed in. You can create a link from X-Plane-x86_64 to your desktop. This site shows how: http://www.basiccomputerinformation.ca/create-desktop-shortcut/
