Please find a fast solution to this problem: Unable to download from server cdn.x-plane.com" it is impossible that when remaining 87 minutes to end the installation I can restart all. I sent to you before another question.

Having the same problem over here, Munich, Germany. Randy from X-plane told me, the problem was on my side, 'cause of my firewall. Nope, firewall is down now and http://cdn.x-plane.com/ is only availabe some time and at very low speed. Trying to get the scenery downloaded for a week now. Even if I get trough that damn slow process (once now), my system told me, that the files were corrupted and can't be installed ...

So ... please ... X-plane user support ... HELP ... SOS ...

Hi Andreas, 

I'm sorry to hear you're having a poor experience downloading the sim. Unfortunately, it seems like it might be a localized issue as I have not heard of problems on the CDN side and I did not see any slowdowns myself when I attempted a new install. Usually we have good coverage in Europe as our CDN has decent coverage there based on this map.

We do recommend installing only a small amount of scenery at a time in case the connection is poor. You can even do a no scenery install to get flying as fast as possible, then add areas later on. You can add or remove scenery at any time with the installer.

For any help with corrupt file messages you will need to upload a copy of the installer log.txt from the desktop.

I followed your hint to only install one scenery and ... finally I managed to get it done.

The Installer log file counted 55 errors like this one:

Error processing http://cds.r8z5m7k4.ssl.hwcdn.net/X-Plane%2011.05r2/Global%20Scenery/X-Plane%2011%20Global%20Scenery/Earth%20nav%20data/+40-010/+42-008.dsf?ttl=1518878864&sig=fb5d1d627651d1986e3325fd75101511: Timeout was reached (..\source_code\app\Installer-f\ins_tasks.cpp:346)

Server  hit error Timeout was reached and will time out for 310.000000 seconds.  Error count is now 19.

... and it took me about a day to install just EUROPE, but .. I made it ... going to intall eastern USA now ...

In the end, I guess that the situation will continue to be like it is, but it's absolutely no fun to have such an annoying installation process.

Update

Following your hint to just install one scenery after the other brought me to 1 day of installation of central europe, which is the scenery the whole problem seems to be detached with because every attempt ended with problems during the download of this scenery.

Downloading USA east, west, Europe east, north was no problem at all. Slow but with almost no broken connections. Matter of minutes, not hours.

We are trying to follow up on this with our CDN provider. It appears they may have bad cached data on some of their leaf nodes.
