X Plane 10 Keeps Freezing

Question

I bought an AMD RX470 4GB for my computer. It ran X-Plane 10 with a poor frame rate but never froze. I sent back that graphics card and bought a GTX 1070. This new graphics card works really well, really good frame rate but after lifting off the ground my screen freezes but the audio continues. The screen then continues after 5 seconds running perfectly for another 30 seconds then does the same. On the third time the screen freezes and then turns off, audio stops. I have to press the restart button on the PC to get it to turn on.

Any idea on whats going on?

16GB DDR4 RAM

MSI Z170A Gaming Pro Carbon

250GB SSD ( X Plane is running on this )

Gigabyte GTX 1070 8GB Gaming G1

Windows 10

Please attach a log.txt from the main folder after one of the times this happens and you quit X-Plane.

Indeed. And you should check "best settings for X-plane 10" on you tube. By Q8 pilot I think. You might find very interesting hints.

You can also try to reinstall your graphics card drivers (and then change settings by turning off threading optimisation if necessary).
