How do I improve these frame rates?

My frame rates do not change at all even when using the lowest settings. I would love to fly but the sim is completely unusable

I have a heavily overclocked AMD 8350 and a GTX 760 4gb with 16 gb ram

Trash your X-Plane preferences (or set them aside) and rebuild them ... That might work. Start with the lowest settings and work your way up by only changing one parameter at a time.

I tried doing that and there was no improvement in frame rates. Any ideas?
