How do I install an aircraft for x-plane 11pb12?

Hi!

 I downloaded a X-plane 11 General Aviation aircraft from x-plane.org, unzipped the folder and placed it under X-plane 11=Aircraft=extra aircraft. However, when I ran x-plane 11 and ticked the box that says 'show aircraft from previous versions(i.e extra aircraft)' I did not see the aircraft anywhere.

Can anyone help me?

Try putting it in just the aircraft folder, not the Laminar folder, not the Extra folder.  Reply if that works.
