Problems with changing navaid etc frequencies in Rotate MD 80

Question

I have installed Rotate MD 80 from an internet download via Winzip. I have activated the sim via the internet. All controls through the CH Joystick work properly and I can get airborne but I am unable to change any function on the glareshield or main panels. Rotate have said turn on the main Battery switch on the O/H panel but still nothing. As I am a refugee from Microsoft FS2004 I am delighted at the level of realism and handling of x-plane 10 sims but want to get things right. I re install Rotate MD 80 and go Manual Activation, or can I delete current installation. What am I doing wrong?

I wouldn't recommend trying to re-install the plane. I am not familiar with this plane as it is from a third party. Did your purchase include any manuals or instructions? I found this forum thread on X-Plane.org (not affiliated with this site) that has some instructional videos in case they help.
