Joystick button assignment 'bug' in Controls menu

Happy New Year to everyone!

I have a feedback and a design change request for the way the Joystick buttons are configured in the Controls menu. I've noticed that each time we enter the menu, it automatically selects 'Joystick button 001' as the default even though I have not pressed any such button. And then if I proceed to select some addin's controls or such, then those get assigned to Joystick button 001 un-intentionally.

Can we have it such that the default button shown on this screen is BLANK i.e. no button pressed, till such time that the button is ACTUALLY pressed?
