Will the X-plane 10 sim allow me to communicate to live off-duty controllers?

I am a private pilot and working on getting my instrument rating. your X-plane 10 simulator really impresses me. I mean you really beat the socks off the 2004 Realflight Simulator I am looking for a sim that will help me with instrument profficency and communications.

Thank you for your kind words. X-Plane does not have any built-in functions that will allow you to work with live ATC. There are some third party providers such as Vatsim, IVAO, or Pilot Edge that you could try.
