One thing that jumps out at me immediately is the dual GPUs. If the operating system treats them like a single GPU, it might not be an issue, but in general, X-Plane does not recognize (and probably will not for the future) a 2nd GPU so it is not worth spending money on it.

While the X-Plane team is primarily on Macs, it's due to ease of use of programming tools, not for gaming power. In general I find that you can get a lot more GPU and CPU power for the money if you look at Windows computers.

Thanks. Price is only $1999 - new in box but 2013 version

Further question. Just spoke to Apple support. They told me Mac OS treats the 2 gpu as a single gpu. Also, they checked the system requirements for x plane 11 and claim there should not be an issue. Your opinion?

Thanks in advance

In that case I guess it's just a matter of preference. Do you know if they confirmed that it will run with X-Plane's minimum or recommended specs? A machine from 2013 will be on the old side to run X-Plane 11, in general. You may be able to technically run the sim with minimum graphics, for example, but will you be happy with what you're looking at? That's up to personal preference and what you're looking for out of the sim experience.

Works more than perfectly. Very satisfied with the MacPro's rendering of XPlane Would recommend, at the right price, the Pro for Xplane
