I am not with Laminar Research; just a flight simmer who does not use a Mac System.
You may have trouble viewing X-Plane with the 13 inch screen. You may have to attach an external screen. The suggested screen size should be at least 17 inches (1920 x 1080). The larger the better provided it is not a 4K screen.
Before you purchase have a look at the system requirements found at http://www.x-plane.com/kb/x-plane-11-system-requirements/
Many serious flight simmers use the recommended system requirements as a starting point for best benefit.
If your new machine meets the requirements, download the demo version (no cost) and ascertain if it works. This will also give you an indication how effective your screen will be. The download software is the same as the full version. The only difference is that you will have a time restriction and restricted to one airport. If everything works purchase the software and then use the password key to unlock the software. There is no need to download the software again. The demo version can be found at http://www.x-plane.com/desktop/try-it/
