Like many other users of XP11, I am really annoyed by the unrealistic tire squeal as well as the deer and birds.
Until XP11.10b3, I was able to circumvent the horrible tire squeal using the C-172SP Tire screech mod found on the XPlane.org forum. This mod has now been blocked by LR.
If LR does not like users to mod certain files in order to suit their likings or needs, then please give us an official option to turn off the screeching tires, birds and deer.
It was one of the main attractions of X-Plane that users were able to experiment with different settings, mods etc. that made XP so great. Sadly, much of of that is gone now since XP11. Even if one would really mess up their sim, all you had to do is re-download the original version and start fresh.
It is my hope that this will not fall on deaf ears.
