MBP 15" 2017 High Sierra Performance Issue and Cursor Copying Itself

Question

Apart from the terrible performance issue most mac users are experiencing. My cursor copies it self after I set the resolution to a lower value when I tried to overcome the performance issue.

This happens whenever I move the cursor over a button. It lag for a sec and when I try to move the cursor away, a copy of the cursor freeze on the button.

There have been a few posts with related issues like yours.  I think 11.10b8 fixes them.  But if you are not on 11.10b8  go to System Preferences for your Mac, click on Accessibility and then Display and make the cursor larger or smaller - see if that does it.  Cheers.
