What does the XP11 Visual Effects slider control?

What visual effects are affected by the Visual Effects slider in XP11, and what are the effects at each position of the slider?

The Visual Effects slider adjusts the quality of the visual effects, such as shadows and light reflection and is dependent on the quality of your graphics card. The largest difference is between medium & high because high enables HDR which allows spill lights.
