X plane 11 demo crashes on iMac.

Question

I just downloaded the X Plane 11 demo and it crashes just when it finishes loading and the cockpit appears. I have an 27 inch iMac from late 2012. Proccesor: 2.9 GHz Intel Core i5, Memory: 8 GB 1600 Mhz DDR3. Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M 512 MB

Hi Jaun,

Have a look at the recommended specifications to run X-Plane.  The link is at  http://www.x-plane.com/kb/x-plane-11-system-requirements/

X-Plane is resource hungry and subsequently generates a lot of heat.  More so if you overclock the CPU.  To disperse you need good cooling otherwise it will crash
