Overclocking lowers the fps. V11.25

Question

When i overclock my cpu and gpu the fps drops according to the buildt in fps counter. When i benchmark the system the speed is increasing and the system dont thermal throttle cause the temp is around 60C on both the cpu and gpu when x-plane is running. So what is going on here, this has never happend before?

I know some motherboards overclock a bit by themselves, can't remember the name of this though.

Maybe you turned this off in the BIOS and you are overclocking less then what your motherboard did for you already.

If it is an ASUS motherboard, I am sure that this feature is present.
