I have one PC with three monitors, a joystick and pedals and one high end gaming laptop setup with VR.  Is there a way to run my X-Plane 11 on either machine?  I purchased X-Plane 11 to use with both computer setups.  They are for my own personal use and will not be used at the same time.  Just trying to leverage all functionality of the software.

That's actually a common misconception! If you have the DVD set of X-Plane you can install the app on as many computers as you like but the NÂș1 DVD must be inserted whenever you want to fly.

The digital keys work a little bit differently. You cannot switch back and forth between systems with the same digital key. That will cause our system to disable the key automatically. (You can always email me at [email protected] if you have issues there! smiley)

Does that answer your question? Have fun!

Hi DKX,

I am not with Laminar Research; just a flight simmer.

You can load X-Plane onto as many computers as you like.  However you can run only one legal version at any one time whether it be a laptop or PC.

If it a disc version, then disc 1 has to be installed in the DVD drive at all times.  If it is a digital download version from Laminar Research you have to have the installation key entered and be connected to the internet.

Have fun and welcome to the world of X-Plane
