Hi,

I'm just about to pick up a ASUS ROG GL552VW-DM401T [EAN 4712900295627] from a post office (I have an option to return it) having:

- intel i5-6300HQ with 4 Cores, 2.3GHz, Boost speed up to 3.2GHz

- 8GB RAM (upgradable up to 32GB by changin 2*RAM cards)

- GeForce GTX 960m VRAM 2GB

- Win 10 (64 bit)

- more info on      https://www.expert.no/data/datamaskiner/barbare-datamaskiner/asus-rog-gl552vw-dm401t-156-barbar-pc/p-254077/

The minimun requirements of X-plane 10 are mostly covered, but the CPU speed should be above 2.6GHz but is 2.3GHz. Is it enough that he Boosted speed of the CUP is up to 3.2GHz to cover fully the minimun requirements?

I shall not be using heavy scenery at all. Of course it would be nice to have some kind of scenery, but maybe only up to "mid" detailed scenery. My main usage with the X-plane is to practice and really learn to perform landings in many, many different kind of weather conditions with all kinds of aircraft.

Best Regards

Rauno

Hi Rauno,

I believe that this CPU should work with X-Plane since it is the latest generation and quad core.

Hi Rauno

Considering you have a laptop, make sure it is well cooled because XP is a very demanding application. CPU and GPU is fine

Thank you for those two answers! I decided anyway not to pick up this laptop from post office.
