I updated this morning to 11.30 and noticed a severe drop in fps vs previous version.  I have a i7-8700K with a GTX 1060 6GB.  My son also uses it with similar hardware and saw the same fps drop with latest update.  Looking at CPU and GPU usage in task manager, I can see that x-plane seems to be using the CPU a lot more to render (near 95%) and the GPU less than 25%, whereas previously the CPU usage would be much lower (under 50%) and GPU usage would be nearer to 70%.

I have been having the same issue sense updating to 11.30 yesterday. I do not partake in any development or bate testing and like so many with this issue was prompted for the update when I opened the flight sim. I have been told that the 11.30 is a final release. This is from what I have seen a common issue for some users. The system and or components does not seem to be a factor as I am running the same processor with an MSI 1080 with 11 GB. I am looking for a way to revert back to the latest installed stable version but no luck as of yet. :(

Hi diabox,

I am not with Laminar Research; just a flight simmer.

Firstly X-Plane 11.30 is still in the testing stage.  It has not been officially released as yet.  When?  Soon!

Drop in frame rates is a known problem with XP11.30. See other postings in this forum.  In the meantime the following link found at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tvp8C0rPAuw  may be of some interest.

The final release is out and it has choked the system to the point of unusability.
