Under release notes it says: "X-Plane 11.32 is a bug-fix patch to X-plane 11.31. This update addresses crashes and weather download failures."  I need this update to fix weather download failures as stated.  X-plane installer says my copy of X-plane 11.31 is already up do date after runnig throuh all the checks it makes.  However, that's incorrect since 11.32 is available.   When I try to download real time weather, regardless of which airport it is, I always get clear weather conditions and altimeter reading 29.92.  During a powerful, severe winter storm at my hometown airport, X-plane downloaded clear weather and altimeter reading 29.92.  Actually no planes took off from my airport for few of days. It was that bad.

Hi Ron

I'm not with Laminar Research, just a fellow simmer in the UK and although I'm not entirely certain, I believe that X-Plane 11.32 is still in beta?

If it is, then have you tried checking the tick box for new betas as well as updates, as per the following photo?

Hello fellow simmer from the UK,

Thank you for answering my question.

Yep, I got that very same prompt shown in the snippet above to download the beta release.  I don't recall identifying the new beta as ver 11.32 though. Nevertheless, I was little apprehensive about doing that since it warns the user that beta releases are prone to have new bugs even though they fix other known bugs.

That brings up a new question I'd like to ask you.  If I have downloaded  the 11.32  beta release and it has a few bugs of its own, wil Il be able to fix it by downloading the next newly available revision whenever it's released?  If so, I'll go ahead and download the 11.32 beta.

Thanks.

Hi there

If you update to 11.32, then you will not be able to roll back to the previous version 11.31 by using the X-Plane Installer app.

The only way around this is to save a complete copy of your 11.31 version file structure somewhere safe, before updating to 11.32. Then, if 11.32 is problematical, you can always completely delete the whole 11.32 file structure and replace it with the 11.31 version that you have stored somewhere safe.

In any event though, no matter which version you have installed, you will always be able to update to newer releases of X-Plane 11 as they become available from LR, assuming that you have a valid copy that originated from them and not Steam!

Hope this helps?
