After running the latest update I now get the following message -

Loading navigational data failed:
0:00:14.761 E/SYS: | No Procedures found in 'CIFP' folder. Please check the CIFP folder for case-sensitivity. If the folder does not contain uppercase files with lowercase extensions, report this problem your Navdata provider.
0:00:14.761 E/SYS: |
0:00:14.761 E/SYS: | Please note that X-Plane 11 is not compatible with navdata files made for X-Plane 10.
0:00:14.761 E/SYS: | (navt.cpp:437)

Before this update all was fine.....any suggests please

Hi wivsteve

I'm not with Laminar Research, just a fellow simmer in the UK, but a couple of questions:-

1. The above message refers to navdata files made for X-Plane 10, are such files on your PC?

2. Is the C:\X-Plane 11\Resources\default data\CIFP in place (X-Plane 11 default navdata) and is the format of the files contain in it made up of 3 or 4 alpha numeric characters (alpha being in upper case, as per the message above) i.e. EGLL.dat or 1R8.dat?

3. Do you have any navdata in your C:\X-Plane 11\Custom Data\CIFP folder, with a similar format to that above? This data would have come from Navigraph or similar

4. Could you upload your X-Plane 11 Log.txt file to this post, so that I and others with a broader knowledge base than myself, can review the whole file?

If you're not sure how to upload the Log.txt file, please click on the following link to see some instructional PowerPoint slides that I have prepared :-

Thanks for your response.  I am new to Xplane coming from P3d/fsx.  Your comments

set me in the right direction and the problem was that the CIFP folder with Navigraph data in the Custom Data folder was missing.  The Navigraph Data Manager had placed it in the root Xplane area.  Moving the file to the correct folder fixed the problem.

Hi wivsteve,

I am not with Laminar Research either; just a flight simmer from down under.

I read all postings in this forum as they are posted.  Have done since page 8 whereas there are currently 371 pages in this forum.

With the release of XP11 and in particular XP11.30 I have read in this forum that one of the developers for add-on software packages has now withdrawn support for X-Plane.  I am of the opinion that it is Navigraph.

You may need to scroll/trawl back through earlier postings in this forum to find the answer or contact Navigraph direct.  If this is correct then X-Plane will continue to update whereas Navigraph will not resulting in your current problem.

Good luck

Glenn.
