Thanks Russ, I've look at the X-Plane Installer Log.txt file and the final entries clearly show three files (highlighted in red) that were corrupt for some reason and they all relate to web based manuals:-

I also note that you have elected to install X-Plane 11 into your D:Drive, when ideally the whole X-Plane root directory should be in your local C:Drive i.e. C:\X-Plane 11.
