Hello,

These two issues are being reported from the baseline X-Plane program, no plugins, no additional scenes, etc.

1. The first issue pertains to errors reported in the Log File:

0:01:39.269 I/FCG: Starting new flight in Aircraft/Laminar Research/Cessna 172SP/Cessna_172SP.acf at 10 nm final to Runway 16L

note: I could not attach my log.txt file, no option to do so on the "Ask a question" page??

2. The second issue is every once in a while (30 secs or 45 secs, it varies) the display will quickly jump (shift) to the left and return to the front without any input from me (note: FPS is about 49). This happens at various airports and various settings. I have updated x-plane 11, windows, video cards and other drivers with the latest updates. I tried reducing all Graphic settings to minimum, disabled all background tasks such an Windows anti-virus, etc. turned off all icons in the tray (bottom right had side) such as video card settings, etc. I checked Task Manager and also disabled all Startup tasks without any success. Any idea?

Hi Papabc

I'm not with Laminar Research, just a fellow simmer in the UK, but with regard to overlapping controller frequencies as shown in your Log.txt file, I don't believe this is anything to worry about, as mine shows almost identical entries all the time!

I'm not sure why these conflicts exist, but clearly X-Plane is just trying to rectify them so that you can continue to use it.

By the way, if you need to know how to upload your Log.txt file in future, please click on the following link to see some instructional PowerPoint slides that I have prepared for this purpose :- http://questions.x-plane.com/?qa=blob&qa_blobid=8352547436792501124

With regard to your 2nd issue, is it possible that you could have a slightly faulty joystick or yolk, whichever you are using?

Try using another flight controller to see if the fault still occurs, or at the very least, try re-calibrating your existing flight controller within X-Plane 11 settings.

Sorry that I cannot be of more assistance!

Regards

Hi Greengolfer15,

Thanks for taking the time to provide very constructive feedback. I will follow the steps in your PP slides the next time.

Wrt the first issue I concur. I just downloaded a fresh copy of xplane11 as I was continuing my troubleshooting and more errors are now displayed in the log.txt file...no freqs errors though...no worries!

Second issue... unfortunately I don't have another controller around to replace my Pro Flight Yoke System however I disconnected it from the USB port to see if it would make a difference while idling at the end of the rwy. Everything seems fine! (no jumping to the left and back). I tried to reconnect to a different USB (from USB 3.0 to 2.0) just to see but the problem came back.

Looks like I may have to buy a new yoke... ohhh, LOL

Thanks again hey and cheers from Ottawa Canada!

Hi there

Sorry for the late reply, just had a short vacation away in our touring van, also sorry to hear that you may have a faulty yolk in your X-Plane 11 set up :-(

If you found my post of some use however, it would be great if you could consider providing my answer with a positive upvote, as per the suggestion on the Q&A web page?

Good luck in the meantime and happy trails

Regard Paul from across the pond!

FYI, I removed all the drivers from Windows 10 Saitek/Logitech Pro Flight devices and re-booted Windows. It looks like it fixed it... hum...I need to dig into this a bit more into this before running to the store!.

Cheers.

Hi there, yes of course, this makes perfect sense as you do not actually require any software drivers to operate a Saitek/Logitech flight controller within X-Plane.

All you need to do is plug the USB device in the PC and calibrate the flight controllers within X-Plane itself!

Well done :-)
