DVD Install is crashing

Question

My X-Plane 11 DVD's will not install.  The Autorun crashes in my Windows 8 machine, and when I try to manually run the install I get this error message.  I am running Windows 8.1, Intel Core i5-4440 at 3.10 GHZ, 8GB RAM on a 64-Bit OS with an x64-based processor.  Is it a compatibility issue or bad disc?  Website says it should work. Thanks for any help you can give.

I am not from Laminar Research; just a flight simmer from downunder.

Have you disabled your antivirus and malware software?  Are you running your system as Adiministrator?
