UPDATE X10 under Win7 Pro unable to run

Question

I have successfully installed X10 version 10.0.2.3 US community edition (DVDs) on Desktop computer with Windows 7 Pro Service Pack 1 64 bit. Then I try to update X10 to the latest version, however the online update installer does not work (unable to run).

I have successfully installed the latest X10 version on my laptop under Window 8.1 Pro and on removable hard disk. When I connect the removable HD to my desktop and try to run X10.40 I got the same problem, unable to run.

Also I have set the window firewall to accept X10 to connect to the internet.

Looking forward for the solution.

Hi El Pedro,

Have you tried downloading the latest installer and trying again? I think last week we had some problems with broken links on our website but they should be fixed now. Please give it another try.
