Validity of license key after purchase

Hello,

if i were to purchase the license keyfor this software, how long is it valid for? is it for one year or is it an annual subscription and I have to purchase it again after the validity period is over?

I'm not with Laminar Research, just a fellow simmer in the UK.

My understanding is that when you purchase a licence for X-Plane 11 (from Laminar Research directly), it will remain valid for the life of that particular product.

If you then wanted to download X-Plane 12, when it is released sometime in the future (date unknown), then you will probably have to buy another licence for that, but this is not something you need be concerned about for a long time!
