Does the term "collective" in X-pland settings refer to multi-engine throttles?

Does the term "collective" in X-plane controller settings refer to multi=engine throttles? Or does is have to do with throttle and mixture combinations?

The “collective” setting refers to the control axis used to increase/decrease pitch—i.e. up and down.
