Advice on which computer / graphics card to buy for Xplane 11

Question

Mac user.  Looking for solid performance, but not pro level.  This is for my 12 year old son who's really hooked on aviation.  

1)  imac:  3.2 6 core 8th gen intel i7 with boost to 4.6, 16 GB of RAM, Radeon pro 555x w/ 2GB GDDR5 memory, 1 TB storage

2) mac mini: 3.0 core 6 8th gen i5 w boost to 4.1, 16 GB RAM, Intel UHD graphics 630, 512 GB storage

I'm not with Laminar Research, just a fellow simmer in the UK, but the best thing to do would be to look at the 'minimum' & 'recommended' hardware specification as determined by LR themselves.

Generally speaking, Intel CPU's are considered more superior to AMD and NVIDIA are the way to go for GPU's
