plane wont steer on ground

Question

for some reason when i loaded into x plane the plane wont steer on the ground using joystick and i was literally doing it an hour earlier any advice?

I'm not with Laminar Research, just a fellow simmer in the UK, but it would be helpful initially if you could advise which aircraft type you are referring to?
