How do you piggyback the shuttle?

I have tried to attach the orbiter to the 747-100. I went to situations, selected the piggyback shuttle option and only the 747 spawns (no orbiter on top). I have tried changing the vehicles under "other aircraft profiles" and it still won't spawn the shuttle on top.

In selecting the 747-100, click Customize on the aircraft Icon. You can check the box in X-Plane 11 to start off with the shuttle on top of the 747 ready for flight at any airport.

For X-plane 10 you need to make sure you select 'Aircraft and Situations' under Aircraft menu. Make sure that Orbiter.acf is setup as the 'aircraft used when you select the SHUTTLE options above'.
