How to resolve: following X-Plane software update: Cessna 172 takes off automatically and crashes

X-Plane 11 beta; I updated X-Plane's software.

When selecting the standard Cessna 172 Skyhawk and EHLE airport (Lelystad, The Netherlands), the aircraft takes off automatically and crashes, without having inputted any controls. Airspeed increases quickly to beyond red line. I have no control over the aircraft.

Connection to SkyDemon is disconnected in both X-Plane's settings and in SkyDemon's software (on iPad).

Check to make sure you do not have "AI flies your aircraft" turned on under the Flight menu. Otherwise remove any plugins or add ons that could be interfering with X-Plane.
