In public beta 14, and in 13 as well, I noticed that all planes automatically provide differential braking when providing yaw/nose wheel steering. My guess is that this was implemented to help make tighter turns. However the effect is way too much. I can't even keep the plane centered with even a 5 knot crosswind as the plane just brakes to a stop. The main issue is that you need much more runway to take off as you need to provide nose wheel steering to keep on the runway. I really hope this 'feature' is removed or made optional in the next betas, as it is slightly unplayable for me at the moment.

Tested with a Logitech Extreme 3D pro joystick and the default cessna (also happens on the other planes). Reset all preferences and options.

I've seen this behavior too... I'll describe the problem:

1st: the differential brakes axis assignment gone missing (NONE) and yaw axis kept assigned and working right (no brake applied with yaw movement)

2nd: When I re-assign brakes axis, yaw start to input differential brake as well and the actual brake pedals don't respond at all.

3rd: When I close the sim and open the same plane, differential brake axis assignment is missing again.

4th: If assign diff. brakes now works right.

Try this steps and you may overcome this bug until is fixed... (did you fill the bug report?, I didn't and I think I should)

Do you use X-assign too?

Hi,

I have exactly the same problem with the final version.
