Adjusting ILS Frequency B747

Question

Dear Support Team,

I d´nt  find any possibilities  to ajust the correct ILS frequency by using the B747-400. The three radios are showing only com frequencies. I have adjust VOR-L button. Using the FMS no buttons are active.

Using X-plane 11 the first time, I am very disappointed. No additional windows of the plane can be open (see the possibilities inFSX). I can use the second monitor only for the Chart and FSM or other Instruments.

The Manual give no informations.

Answer 1

Use the FMS.  Click the radio button on it, and enter your frequency.  Make sure the Blue Indents [ ] are blinking, or you will not be able to enter any info.

I think radio page is broken in the 747 FMS CDU.

thank You for Your answer, sorry for the late reply. I´ve changed to the standard B737-800. This plane workes properly and it is possible to use the FMS Basic funtions. Using a You Tube video  tutorial (von Kleist) I was able to configure a flight plan. So I´ve done some training flights in the last weeks.

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE DUE TO A BUG - STILL NOT REPAIRED.

The NAV/RAD-button does not show anything, and it is from there the setting has to be set for ILS and CRS. As long this bug is not repaired you must land B747 manually because you are not able to set anything manually and the FMS has not any own glide slope. So landing will be without the correctly setting for ILS/CRS

The bug is "stand alone" for the B747-400. check the B737-800 with same FMS. There it works.

WILCO, I´ ve used the 737-800 in the last time. FMS (basic functions) and ILS is working well.

a Bug is still a Bug, and it has to be repaired. Hope more will send this bug report so it will be fixed.

So sad, the Queen of the Skies is grounded in X-Plane due to a nasty bug 

I bought X-Plane to simulate long haul flights on a Mac computer instead of having to use an alternative PC based flight simulator.

However, it is impossible to do any long haul flights with X-Plane, until this critical 747 NAVRAD bug is fixed, as it is impossible to do any ILS approaches and landings on the only long haul plane that is provided by X-Plane.

I hope this much needed fix is a priority, in order to make the X-Plane 747 fit for purpose.
